Week 5

Well this week I am typing out my literature review and I am still in the process of finding more articles for my thesis. It seems that there are not many articles on my topic. So, I had change some of the topics that it will be on. I think that I will probably change it again once I find more articles.I blogged on my classmates blogs also.

Deborah,

I am finding the same problem when I am searching for my articles; they simply are not there. Or they cost money to subscribe to the journal. I guess this is why we started early on this process.

Good luck!

Deborah,

That's a very good question and a good way to deal with the situation when there aren’t many resources on the topic.
Let me suggest a few different ideas:
- Modify the key words you used. Refer to thesaurus included in the Library Database you are using.
- If you are looking articles on elementary school students’ comprehension skills, there may not be a large group of resources. You may look for resources on comprehension skills in general and try to draw some relevant implications out of those.

Keep up the good work!
